First Days is a collection of 19 digital collages created during Covid. Like everyone else, I was searching for an outlet for depression, anger, hope, love, weariness, excitement, and any other emotion that washed over me during that time. I had an iPad, an apple pencil, and a desire to express my art. A photographer by trade, I was now trapped in the house without my daily form of artistic expression. That's where these collages come in. This first book is 19 images of my attempts to learn how to create art through collage. This book is a limited run of 15. I am proud of this work because I believe God gave me a way to survive in the darkness. Thank you for supporting a Black Jamaican artist as he tells his stories through his work.
